  Competition! Competitions: April/May Competition Results

2nd prize for this months Spot The Ball competition has to go to Carl. Although he wasn't able to get very close to the ball that I erased with Photo Shop, he did manage to spot all the other bits that I erased, including a baby, a beach ball, a monkey, Martins flaming hair, and a trail of fire left by his unicycle. So congratulations for spotting all of those bits Carl :-)

I'm trying out something a bit different this month. Rather than a caption competition, it's a good old spot the ball competition instead.

  Competition! Competitions: Competition update!

It would appear that there have been some technical problems with the email address for this months caption competition. This was the way that the mail was routed from one domain to another, but has now been changed, and all appears to be fine.

Whilst I think that most of your answers have come through ok, I know that a couple of you have had difficulty. Therefor, unless I have already acknowledged your answer in some way, then could you please resend them to competition@sowen.com . You should receive an autoresponse now confirming your entry has been received.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Requium For A Dream Darren Arnofskys follow up to Pi is even more gripping then his first masterpiece. I first watched this film 2 years ago, and had fond memories of it being an excellently shot visual and audio fest with a nice plot twist, and a happy outcome. Well, watching it for a second time, I realise that I must have been so pleased with it the first time that I failed to notice how tragic the outcome was. I don't want to give too much away here, but this film gives some great insight in to addictions, whether they are drugs, coffee, TV, diets or women. A thoroughly delightful film despite the very dark aspects, and the lack of a Heppy Ever After ending.
