Competitions: April Spot The Ball Competition
I'm trying out something a bit different this month. Rather than a caption competition, it's a good old spot the ball competition instead.

If you can spot the ball in this photo, you can win a prize! See update at bottom for details!

Competitions: March Caption Competition Results
Ok, Well, I'm a little bit late with the results this month... But what are you going to do? Sue me?
Anyway, this months winner is Alan Walker, who lives in a hedge. No, sorry, my mistake, he lives in Hedge End;

Twenty years of research comes to fruition with the final discovery of proof that punks, like amoeba, reproduce by binary fission.

Competitions: Competition update!
It would appear that there have been some technical problems with the email address for this months caption competition. This was the way that the mail was routed from one domain to another, but has now been changed, and all appears to be fine. Whilst I think that most of your answers have come through ok, I know that a couple of you have had difficulty. Therefor, unless I have already acknowledged your answer in some way, then could you please resend them to competition@sowen.com . You should receive an autoresponse now confirming your entry has been received. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Last DVD
Requium For A Dream Darren Arnofskys follow up to Pi is even more gripping then his first masterpiece. I first watched this film 2 years ago, and had fond memories of it being an excellently shot visual and audio fest with a nice plot twist, and a happy outcome. Well, watching it for a second time, I realise that I must have been so pleased with it the first time that I failed to notice how tragic the outcome was. I don't want to give too much away here, but this film gives some great insight in to addictions, whether they are drugs, coffee, TV, diets or women. A thoroughly delightful film despite the very dark aspects, and the lack of a Heppy Ever After ending. |
