Juggling: Building The Spiky Mattress Of Death
2 weeks ago I decided to build myself a bed of nails. At the time I knew very little about how they are actually made or work. After a fair bit of research on the internet, I felt that I knew enough to tackle making one myself. Now that I've made it, I'd like to share my experiences with others.
Disclaimer I am not any kind of authority on bed of nail building. What I have made is an article of furniture for my own personal use. If you are foolish enough to copy me and you hurt yourself, then it is your own fault. I take no responsibility for any of you nutters out there on the internet

Juggling: Poi In The Park - May 2004
On a beautifully hot Saturday afternoon in May, what could possibly be better than chilling out in a park in Loughborough, relaxing in the sunshine, soaking up the atmosphere and chatting with mates?

Answer: Waiting for it to get dark, and chucking some fire clubs around on top of a Rola Bola, of course!

Requium For A Dream Darren Arnofskys follow up to Pi is even more gripping then his first masterpiece. I first watched this film 2 years ago, and had fond memories of it being an excellently shot visual and audio fest with a nice plot twist, and a happy outcome. Well, watching it for a second time, I realise that I must have been so pleased with it the first time that I failed to notice how tragic the outcome was. I don't want to give too much away here, but this film gives some great insight in to addictions, whether they are drugs, coffee, TV, diets or women. A thoroughly delightful film despite the very dark aspects, and the lack of a Heppy Ever After ending. |
