Requium For A Dream Darren Arnofskys follow up to Pi is even more gripping then his first masterpiece. I first watched this film 2 years ago, and had fond memories of it being an excellently shot visual and audio fest with a nice plot twist, and a happy outcome. Well, watching it for a second time, I realise that I must have been so pleased with it the first time that I failed to notice how tragic the outcome was. I don't want to give too much away here, but this film gives some great insight in to addictions, whether they are drugs, coffee, TV, diets or women. A thoroughly delightful film despite the very dark aspects, and the lack of a Heppy Ever After ending.
